Assignments can be delivered directly by Midford Consulting or, where broader capabilities are required, in collaboration with established engineering, utility and specialist organizations. This flexible approach brings together the right expertise and resources for each assignment — from focused strategic and technical advisory work to complex, multidisciplinary and international projects.
Lorne Midford, M.Sc., P.Eng.(SM)*

Lorne Midford has more than 35 years of electric-utility experience spanning generation, transmission, distribution, wholesale markets, asset management, system operations and major infrastructure development.
His career progressed from distribution and system planning through system operations, generation controls and engineering to senior executive leadership. He later served as Vice-President, Generation and Wholesale Power and Vice-President, Asset Planning and Delivery at Manitoba Hydro.
His experience includes strategic asset management, hydroelectric operations and refurbishment, reliability compliance, integrated resource planning, major capital programs, wholesale electricity markets, international utility advisory and executive leadership.
